Anxiety 101

Anxiety is not solely a mental health issue - it lives in the body.

Anxiety is actually your body's way of getting your mind's attention that something needs to change.

You see what happens is that our subconscious is taking in all these images and stories. And when you see devastation on the news, become aware of injustices, or hear of someone losing their home/job/loved one, your brain treats that as an imminent threat to your own safety.

It doesn't understand that it's not happening to you. You are seeing it, therefore YOU are in danger.

Even though logically you know that isn't true, the primal part of your subconscious that is constantly scanning for danger is too strong for logic to override.

So, your subconscious is on high alert and notices that you're not doing anything - you're not fleeing, you're not stockpiling, you're not working harder, etc. It thinks that you must not realize that this is very bad and requires action, because you're still on the couch scrolling your phone.

What does it do then? Exactly what it's supposed to do!

It gets busy sending signals to your body to strongly encourage you to do ANYTHING.

  • Your heart rate increases and adrenaline ramps up.

  • Your body pulls blood supply away from your core (slowing digestion) and your brain (taking higher thinking offline) and puts it in your arms and legs so you can flee.

  • Your sleep gets lighter & disrupted, because being unconscious during an emergency does not increase your chances of survival.

Anxiety isn't logical ...

It comes out of left field, wakes you up at night, and makes you feel like you're crazy.

Course Details

This is a live, virtual small group coaching program capped at 7 participants.

Together we will decide when to have our calls so the majority of participants can attend - aiming to set aside the same 60-90 minutes each week for consistency.

We will walk hand in hand together throughout this program.

Each week covers a specific topic, leading you through my process for anxiety support and reclaiming the leadership role over your energy and your life.

Over the course of 6 weeks, you will experience coaching, breathwork, guided meditation, and energy work during various sessions.

Each week's Zoom call will be recorded and uploaded inside the course container, usually by Monday of the following week.

Who is NOT the right fit for this group?

Due to the physiological changes brought about by doing any active Breathwork, it is NOT recommended for people with the following conditions: heart/blood pressure issues, retinal issues, untreated severe mental illness, or people in any stage of pregnancy.

Who is this group for?

  • There's no test for "Is your anxiety bad enough?" to join us!

  • This group is for anyone over age 16, any gender, who struggles with feeling anxious.

  • For anyone who wants to learn more about anxiety in general and how to support others who experience it

No worries! All calls will be recorded and uploaded by Monday of the following week.
